COVID-19: Cleaning Protocols

To ensure the safety of our guests during the COVID-19 pandemic the following changes will be made to our cleaning protocols:

Products used for disinfecting

Products should contain disinfecting agent certified for EN 14476

Kitchen crockery utensils

All crockery/kitchen utensils will either be freshly washed and left in dishwasher to avoid contamination or hand-washed with gloves and placed in cupboards.

Extra cleaning will take place on every changeover:

CLEANING CHECKLIST

Appropriate protective clothing should be worn when cleaning, and protective clothing should be changed between properties.

All surfaces are to be cleaned first, then disinfected

Consideration should be taken to address the impact of children as well as adults: touching lower wall heights and parts of furniture.

Entrance

  1. Keys cleaned and disinfected

  2. External handles wiped and disinfected

Communal Parts

  1. Internal doors and door furniture wiped and disinfected

  2. Light and power switches wiped and disinfected

  3. Pool table surround, cues and balls to be wiped with disinfectant

  4. Sanitise Fridge doors and handles

  5. Floors hoovered and mopped with virucidal disinfectant

  6. Wipe down fire extinguishers

Living Spaces

  1. Internal doors and door furniture wiped and disinfected

  2. Light and power switches wiped and disinfected

  3. All surfaces and furniture, including sofas wiped and disinfected

  4. Remote controls for TV and Heating wiped down

  5. Windows cleaned

  6. Floors hoovered and mopped with virucidal disinfectant

Kitchen

  1. Internal doors and door furniture wiped and disinfected

  2. Light and power switches wiped and disinfected

  3. All surfaces and furniture, including tables/chairs wiped and disinfected

  4. Windows cleaned

  5. Hard flooring hoovered and mopped with virucidal disinfectant

  6. Empty Bins and disinfect

  7. Washing machine / dish washer / microwave / kettle / toaster coffee machine: clean and sanitise doors, handles and controls

  8. Oven and hob: clean and disinfected surfaces, doors, handles and controls

  9. Fridge: clean and disinfected inside and out, including handle

  10. Pans, crockery, utensils to be washed in the dishwasher and left

  11. Drawers and cupboards wiped and disinfected

  12. Floors hoovered and mopped with virucidal disinfectant

  13. Clean and disinfect high chair (when used)

  14. Wipe down fire extinguishers

Bedrooms

  1. Internal doors and door furniture wiped and disinfected

  2. Light and power switches, including bedside lamps wiped and disinfected

  3. All surfaces and furniture, including dressing table wiped and disinfected

  4. Drawers and cupboards wiped and disinfected

  5. Windows cleaned

  6. Floors hoovered and mopped with virucidal disinfectant

Bathrooms

  1. Internal doors and door furniture wiped and disinfected

  2. Light and power switches wiped and disinfected

  3. Clean tiles

  4. Clean shower / bath / sink including pedestals and splash-backs

  5. Remove shower head and clean

  6. Clean and sanitise taps

  7. Clean plugholes and pour disinfectant down

  8. Clean and sanitise toilet bowl using a toilet brush to agitate the cleaning process and include under the toilet rim

  9. All surfaces and furniture, wiped and disinfected

  10. Mirrors cleaned

  11. Floors hoovered and mopped with virucidal disinfectant

  12. Soak toilet brushes in bleach

Outside Space

  1. Ensure bins are labelled (do no use bin for used cloths and protective clothing)

  2. Disinfect bin lids

  3. Clean outdoor furniture and gates

  4. Clean barbecue

  5. Gate latches, barbecue handle and parasol winder wiped and disinfected
